On my fourth visit to Gapyeong<\/a>, I finally got a chance to try the Gapyeong Rail Park! I went there after Christmas. The trees are withered. The weather is cold. You really have to wear the proper winter attire<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two kinds of bike there: two-seater (25,000) and four-seater (35,000)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The total distance from Gapyeong Station to Gyeonggang Station is 4 Km. It means that you have to do some leg work out for 8 Km. It took us 1 hr and 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gapyeong Rail Park Time Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

They have 5 round trip courses. You have to choose when making a reservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. 9:00\u00a0to 10:20<\/li>
  2. 10:30 to 11:50 (I chose this one!)<\/li>
  3. 12:00 to 13:20<\/li>
  4. 14:00 to 15:20<\/li>
  5. 15:30 to 16:50<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Their peak season is May 1-31, July 20 – Aug 20, and October 1-30. Many tourists go there during Spring, Summer, and Autumn. We went there during winter that’s why there are not much people using the bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We chose the second to the last bike. It was a good choice. We weren’t pressured to move fast since only one bike is behind us. However, the first bike have kids on it. I think they got tired easily and they moved slower on our way back to the Gapyeong Station. I heard that some Ajummas behind us, shouted Palli Palli! It means faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I couldn’t blame them. The weather was really cold, and it could make your fingers numb if you’re not wearing gloves. LOL. Despite the cold weather, I enjoyed biking and taking pictures while on the bike. I got so busy taking pictures and didn’t notice that the bike in front of us is not moving, we weren’t able to use the break on time. (Tip: Make sure to use the break so others won’t get annoyed.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If I get a chance, I’d love to visit it again on Spring or Autumn. I recommend this place for couples, friends, and family trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
